Salons, clinics & workshops

The day is decided before anyone pays.

When what you sell is an hour of somebody's time, the shape of the day is set long before the till is involved. Fizzy keeps the two apart on purpose: a book that can be moved, cancelled and slept through, and a ledger that only ever hears about the visits that actually happened.

The difference

The same Thursday, twice.

On a book and a till that never met

  • 08:50The diary is on paper and the prices are in somebody's head.
  • 10:30A cancellation is rubbed out. By Friday nobody remembers there was one.
  • 13:00A no-show leaves a gap in the day and no record that it happened.
  • 16:45Checkout means retyping the treatment, the colour and the product sold alongside it.
  • 18:30The day's takings are a stack of card slips and a guess about who did what.

On Fizzy

  • 08:50The book opens on the desk terminal, one day at a time, priced from your catalogue.
  • 10:30Cancelled is an outcome the book records, not an erased line.
  • 13:00A no-show is recorded as a no-show, so the pattern is there when you look for it.
  • 16:45Checkout carries the booked services into the till, and you add the shampoo on the way out.
  • 18:30Every visit that took money is a sealed sale with the name of who served it.

The book

A schedule, deliberately not a ledger.

An appointment is an intention. It can be moved, it can be cancelled, and the customer can simply not turn up, and none of those things should ever have to be represented in a record of money. So the book writes no sale events at all. It runs booked, arrived, done. Cancelled and no-show are ends, and nothing follows them.

When the customer leaves, the till checks the appointment out and rings it through the ordinary path, the same staging-then-ledger shape a QR order has, and for the same reason: a person confirms, then it becomes evidence.

  • One day at a time, which is how a desk actually asks
  • Services priced from the same catalogue the till sells from
  • Nothing can rewrite an appointment after checkout: money is behind it, and the way back is a refund

The checkout

The visit becomes a sale, once, with a name on it.

Time and things, one receipt

The treatment and the product sold alongside it are lines on the same sale, each classified for VAT on its own line rather than lumped together at the end.

Who served it

Every entry carries the staff member, the counter and the time, so who did what on a busy Saturday is read straight out of the record.

No-shows stay visible

A cancellation and a no-show are different outcomes and are stored as different outcomes. A pattern you can see is a pattern you can charge a deposit for.

The appointment book is the service module, switched on for the outlets that need it.

The same spine

Everything else a counter needs, unchanged.

The book is the part that is specific to you. Underneath it is the same platform every Fizzy counter runs: Worldline-certified payments reconciled to the sale, a hash-chained ledger nobody can quietly edit, line-level VAT, the daily close, and exports your accountant already reads.

Ask what the week looked like in Finnish, Swedish, Danish, Turkish or English, and the answer comes out of the sealed record with the sales it was built from.

The questions we get from salons and clinics.

Can customers book themselves online?

Not today. The book is run from the desk, by the person with the till in front of them, and that is what it is built for. Online self-booking is a real gap and we would rather say so than let you find out in week two.

We sell products as well as treatments. Is that one sale or two?

One. The treatment and the shampoo are lines on the same receipt, and each line carries its own VAT rate, which is usually the point: an hour of work and a bottle on a shelf are not always taxed the same way.

Do you handle patient or client records?

No, and deliberately. Fizzy records the appointment and the sale, not the treatment notes. A clinical or health record belongs in a system built and regulated for it, and putting one in a till would be the wrong answer to a serious question.
