Home / Quandoo is closing

For restaurants leaving Quandoo

Quandoo stops taking bookings on 30 September.

The dates are theirs, from their own notice: no new bookings after 30 September 2026, the guest service ends on 1 October, and the platform is switched off on 31 December. If your restaurant takes bookings through Quandoo, they need somewhere to go before the end of this month.

The dates

What happens, and when.

These dates are published by Quandoo, in the restaurant section of their notice. Read it on quandoo.fi. Fizzy has no connection to Quandoo and no arrangement with them.

Straight answer

Half of what Quandoo gave you can be replaced this month. Half of it cannot.

What moves with you

The half that was always yours: a page guests book from, the times you are willing to sell, your tables, the confirmation that goes out, and the book your staff work from on a Friday night. All of that is software, and software can be replaced in an afternoon.

  • Your booking page, at an address you own
  • The link on your own site and your Instagram
  • Your table plan and how long a table is held
  • Your guest list and your forward bookings, as the file Quandoo exports

What nobody can give back

The people who found you by browsing quandoo.fi. A marketplace is an audience, and on 1 October that audience is switched off. Fizzy is a booking system and a till. It is not a marketplace and will not pretend to be one, because a restaurant that only learns this after switching has been sold something.

What replaces it is the traffic you already have: your own site, your Google listing, the code on the table, the sign in the window. Those send people to a page you control, and the bookings that arrive there are yours from the first one.

Whoever you choose

Three things worth doing before December, even if you never speak to us.

  • Export your reservation history and your guest list from Quandoo. Their own partner notice says you can do that up to and including 30 November 2026, and that after it the platform is gone, so this is the one with a deadline on it.
  • Take the upcoming bookings out separately. Quandoo says the ones you already hold will still be honoured and recommends exporting them so you can run them somewhere else, which is exactly what the file is for.
  • Change the booking link on your own site and your social profiles, and take the Quandoo widget off your pages when it stops working on 30 September. A dead booking button is worse than none: it takes the guest who was ready to book and leaves them nowhere.

If you want a booking system that says no

A book that refuses the booking you cannot seat.

Most of what goes wrong with bookings is a system that accepts everything: two parties on one table, a table for four at four in the morning, a party of nine in a room whose largest table seats six. Fizzy works out what is free from your own services, your turn times and your tables, and it refuses the rest with the reason.

The same answer runs the guest page, the desk and the office, so a time a guest is shown is a time you can seat. Being refused on the last screen for a time you were offered on the first is the thing nobody forgives.

What else the restaurant module does →
  • Your own page with your hours, your address and your menu on it, and the booking on the page
  • A confirmation by email carrying a link that cancels, because a table handed back in time is a table you sell again
  • The day in the office as a timeline, where a booking is moved by dragging it
  • Minimum and maximum party per table, so the eight-top is not sold to a couple at seven o'clock
  • How many covers you will take in one slot, set by you, and never applied to the person on the telephone
  • Finnish, Swedish, English, Danish and Turkish, on the guest page and in the confirmation

How long it takes

An afternoon, and you are taking bookings on your own address.

The booking page needs three things from you: when you serve, how long a table is held, and what your tables are. That is the afternoon. Your guest list arrives as a spreadsheet. Bookings you already hold for October are typed in once or simply taken on the new page from the day you switch.

Behind the booking, when you want it, is the rest: the till, the kitchen screen, stock that goes down as the dishes go out, and a day that closes sealed for your accountant. None of it is needed to start taking bookings this week.

Twenty minutes, and your own booking page.

Bring your opening hours and a list of your tables. You will leave the call with a link you can put on your site.

Plans start at 39 EUR a month, and the seven days are free. See what each plan includes.
