A short list of things that break the deal.
The handful of uses that are out of bounds on Fizzy, and what happens if someone tries them.
Summary
Do not use Fizzy to break the law, to falsify records, to attack the platform or to resell it as your own. Almost everything else is fine. If we ever have to act, we contact you first unless the risk makes that impossible.
This policy is short because the product enforces most of it. Fizzy exists to make sales records true. Anything that works against that is off limits, and in most cases it is not technically possible anyway.
Who this applies to
Every customer, and everyone they give access to: staff, contractors, accountants and integration partners. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
The rule that matters most
Do not use Fizzy to falsify, conceal or misrepresent sales. That includes running parallel unrecorded sales, manipulating exports before they reach an accountant or an authority, misusing staff accounts to disguise who did what, or attempting to alter, remove or re-order sealed ledger entries.
The ledger is append-only, so the attempt would fail and leave a trace. But we would rather say it plainly than rely on that.
General conduct
Do not use the service to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or handle goods and services you are not permitted to sell. Do not enter personal data you have no lawful basis to hold, and do not put special categories of personal data into a system that was not designed for them.
Security
- Do not share accounts. Every person who works the counter gets their own, which is what makes an entry attributable.
- Do not attempt to access another tenant's data, probe the service for vulnerabilities without our written agreement, or interfere with its integrity or availability.
- Do not circumvent authentication, rate limits or plan limits.
- Tell us promptly if you believe an account or a terminal has been compromised.
Found a genuine security flaw? Report it to legal@fizzy.fi. Act in good faith, avoid other people's data, give us reasonable time, and we will work with you rather than against you.
Fair use of the platform and API
Use the API for your own integration and within reasonable volumes. Do not resell access, scrape at a rate that degrades the service for others, or use automation to place synthetic load on production. If you need higher limits, ask, and we will usually say yes.
Fizzy AI
The assistant answers from your own sealed data. Do not attempt to use it to extract data belonging to another tenant, and do not present its output as tax or legal advice. It reports what your ledger says, which is exactly its value and exactly its limit.
Hardware
Do not tamper with certified payment hardware or attempt to intercept payment data. Beyond being a breach of this policy, that is a criminal matter and it ends the relationship immediately.
What happens if this is breached
We contact you first, because most issues are a misunderstanding or a misconfigured integration. For serious or repeated breaches we may restrict a feature, suspend access, or terminate the agreement under the Terms of Service. Where we are legally required to report something, we will.
Reporting misuse
To report abuse of the service, write to legal@fizzy.fi with enough detail for us to act on it.

We aim to write our legal documents in language a shop owner can read without a lawyer. If something here is unclear, tell us and we will rewrite it. That is part of the job, not a favour.
